The 2011 Gourmet Traveller Travel Awards http://www.gourmettraveller.com.au/australian-gourmet-traveller-2011-travel-awards.htm were announced in Melbourne last week to determine the winners in categories ranging from Best Health Retreat to Best New Boutique Accommodation and Best Family Experience.. The 2011 winners are as follows:
- Best Resort or Lodge: Qualia, Hamilton Island, QLD
- Best Hotel or Resort Dining: Lake House, VIC
- Best Adventure Tourism: Cradle Mountain Huts, TAS
- Best Large Luxury Hotel: The Observatory Hotel, Sydney, NSW
- Best Indigenous Tourism Experience: Kooljaman at Cape Leveque, WA
- Best New Boutique Accommodation: The Cullen, Melbourne, VIC
- Best Spa: Qualia, Hamilton Island, QLD

Cup design is refreshing, quite a tall espresso cup with a large handle. Grip is good though the walls are too thin. Aroma is fragrant and the taste compliments the cup design. Not too hot and fairly good crema. First impression hints at a weaker strength coffee roast though with tones of berry and acid. Texture not as smooth as crema hints but provides a pleasant nutty aftertaste. Three out of five.
